Finally, after being unable to attend the Kingsburg Car Show over the past few years I finally made it. The weather cooperated since rain was in the forecast for the afternoon. This is a very well attended show, both participants and spectators. I actually wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get finished photographing before the show broke up. They were well into the awards presentation as I neared the last of the cars. I quit photographing engine compartments as the time was running out. I spent a lot of time waiting for people to move out of view to take the shots all day long. This cost a lot of time, but the pictures tend to be better this way. I was told that the rod count was around 325 vehicles. The SSR participants had an area all to themselves. Vendor row was down one side of the park off Draper St., with the food vendors along the street on the back side of the park. Talk about awards, BIG trophies as top awards and a lot of plaques, they definitely had
the awards part covered. Besides the food vendors, Draper Street has quite a few restaurants as well as lots of shops to take care of those who want to gift shop including two 50's shops. So, if you didn't make it this year, take a look at the photo album of what you missed and be sure to attend next year's Kingsburg Car Show...
